It is best to choose a sheer that is plain rather than patterned so it does not draw a person's attention away from the room. 5. Lined Curtains These are simply timeless and will always be a lot of people's first choice when it comes to adding a touch of elegance and privacy to their homes. Although today with the introduction of lighter materials more people are vying away from the much staid and thicker curtains than before. The simple reason being that they are a lot easier to maintain and today many will come with a thermal lining which helps to keep a room warm during the winter months but cool during the summer.
